COMMITTEE MEETING. A mcotiuß of (ho Committee of the Wairarapa Caledonian Society was held in Mr 11. C. O'Connoll'j Clab Hotel, Mastcrton, yesterday afternoon, Mr W. Miller presiding. ' Correspondence was received from Mr E. M. D. Whatman, enclosing his resignation as a member of tho Society, and stating that lie was unablo to attend the meeting. 'Tho'resignation \yas accepted with regret. Fron} Mr W, B. Stewart, of \yangaui)i, suggesting that collodion botes should lie taken round -on the sports ground and a collection iqado in aid of the widows and children of iflen of the Higliland Brigade fallen in South Africa. The Secretary was instructed toobtain tti'o bojes and omploy njeij to tako up tlio oollootlou. ' . From tho Secretary of tho Pakiatua Caledonian Society, stating that J. Gray had bean disqualified for life from competing at tUoir sports, for haying gout in inoorreot performances for the sports held on the 18th Jauuary, 1891). . Jt was resolved that the disqualilicatio'u be endorsed by this Society, Messrs - W, lornsand G.W. Doller were elected meinbors of tho Society, The mooting . theft rose. • ■. i
