FEATHERSTON NOTES.
——4 (From Our Own Correspondent). Friday, Tlio usual monthly meeting of the Library Institute Committee was hold ou Wednesday, when Mr Matthews was elected chairman. The Treasurer's balance was £2116s 4d, The matter of ascertaining tlio cost of putting dowu linoleum and further furnishing the ladies' rending room was left in the hands of tbe ladies of the committee. Last ovoning a vory successful concert and dance was held in aid of the Town Band funds. The programme of the concert was yery good, every item being encored, Dancing was kept tip till the small hours of this morning. The second part of the concert consisted of Rifadin's celebrated BalladOpera " The Waterman," or " Tlio First of August," in ono act, Tho characters were Messrs Gant, H, Wood and 11. Haigli, and two lady amateurs. This portion of tlio programnio was also well placed and thoroughly enjoyed by the audience. The entertainment is to bo repeated to-night.
