Messrs Lowes anil lorns report;-We were again unfortunate in meeting with bad weather yesterday for our market, which had tlio effect of diminishing the entries in stock considerably. Of mutton, some prime wethers offered, but tho ewes were not equal in quality, Goof store wethers were well represented, as also ewes in lamb, but the hoggats were of an interior class. Several lots failed to go off under Hie hammer, but were soon quitted privately, and at the close of the day every jlijie had been sold. i The beef yarded was of a very plain di s ■ cription, polling accordingly low, Stores were In better demand, niostly all selling. ]n dairy stock some good sorts camo forr ward aiid all found purchasers as did all the young stock. Best fat wethers, raado 12/-; others, 11/to 11/6; fat ewes, 7/0, 7/!) and 7/11; forward ■ wethers, 'J/10 to 10/- j stores, 8/9 to 9/0 j forward ewes, G/G; stores, 5/9 to G/ ; ewes in lamb, 7/3; hoggets, 5/0; plain beef, 80/- to 85/-; forward bullocks, 82/G; 3-year stocre, 05/- to 70/-; 2-year steers, i 4; yearlings, 24|-to 32j-J calves, 15/-to 18/-; dairy heifers, GO/- to 80/-; small i pigs, 0/-to 8/-.
