EDHEM PASHA REPLACED,
(Received April 20, 5 30 p.m.) Athens, April 24. The Greek Eastern squadron is bombarding Karabumu, a town on tho Gulf of Salonica. The Western squadron is bombarding Agiri on the coast of Epirus, opposite the island of Corfu, The reported successes of the Greeks at Dainasi and llaveni Pass to the northward of Larissa are not confirmed. Later reports show that the'fighting was apparently of an undecisive character. The Greeks under the Duke of Sparta, repulsed 3000 Turkish cavalry at Mati, disabling 500. Constantinople, April 24, 'l'lie Sultan irritated at the obstinate defence ut Tirnovas by the Greeks has resolved to replace Edhem Pasha in command by Shazi Osman Pasha.

The Turks were eventually strongly reinforced and compelled the Greeks to retire. v The Duke of Sparta together with tho mombers of his staff have loft Larissa for Phersala, tho second lino of defence.
A semi-official newspaper in Athens states that the troops will concentrate at Phersaln, as it was found impossible to avoid the evacuation of Larissa. Later advices state that Larissa has been completely evaluated and the guns spiked, The Greek squadron has bombarded Santa Quaranta. The town was burned, A quantity of war material, and a, large quantity of stores and provisions were also destroyed.
