Gen°ral businsss has undergone a decided improvement during the past week, I'arro and station supplies hive teen notalily in demand, Locali Stock Sams: A general improvement ivas experienced at lie week's sabs. An all-ivund rise in values is expected. In the Forty-mile Bush district thero is an abundance ot grass; this augurs well for a demand for big ewes and store wethers. The competition at sales in the immediate future is suro to ho good. Wooii; Very little or no alteration Ims taken place in the Home nwkets. The Wellington sales have proved rather discouraging toso'.tiers. What changes in values did reside wero all ot a downward tendency. A want ot lile pervaded the whole sales. Wheat : Quotations are unaltered nt 4/-. Many are refusing to sell at tho figure and are demanding •!ji. Very little wheat has reached Southern markets. I'iouii : Unchanged nt 250/-. Oats; Same as last week, 2/-. Ginss Seeds: Small operations have taken place. Quotations same as last week, ltye is fluctuating very considerably. Clovers arc selling at slinht'ly lower rates.
