[to the ediiob,] Sib,—l hereby giyo a distinct and complete denial to Mr Hogg's statement that I was brought out as a candidate by tlio NATIONAL ASSOCIATION, I deny that the said Association was in any way responsible for my candidature, nor will it be asked to pay any ot my ejection expenses. Mr Hogg cannot say the same of his supporters. I deny that I am EVEN A MEMBER of the National Association, nor ate any of the gentlemen who waited upon nie with a numerously signed petition' requesting my candidature—fours truly, ' D. J. CiMEBON.
