A DENIAL.
[to the editob.] Sib,-I hereby giye a distinct and complete denial to Mr Hogg's statement that I was brought, out as a candidate by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION. I deny that the said Association was in any way responsible for my candidature, nor will it bo asked to pay any of my election eipenses. Mr Hogg cannot say the same of his supporters, I deny that I am EVEN A MEMBER of the National Association, nor are any of the nentlemen who waited upon me with a gumerously signed petition requesting my candidature,-Sfours truly, D. J, Cuieeok.
