A DENIAL.
[to the editob.] Sib,—l hereby give a distinct and complete denial to Mr Hogg's statement that I was brought out as a candidate by the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION. I deny that the said Association was in any way responsible far my candidature, nor will it be asked to pay any of my election expenses. Mr Hogg cannot say the same of his supporters. I deny that I am EVEN A MEMBER of the National Association, nor are any of the nentlemen who waited upon me with a gumerously signed petition requesting my candidature Yours truly, D. J. CiJIEEON.
