In tho fight in which Tesaba's stronghold was captured by the force under the command of Colonel Plummer, the Matabele were armed with Lee-Metford rifles, and fought like devils in defence of their strong- ,-r hold. The first assault was repulsed, but Colonel Plummer persevered, and in the end tho rebels were routed and dispersed in all directions,
