" The enemy's grain boats Aj'yo been captured, and all tbo Defies north of Suarda killed or captured, Tho Egyptian forces bold tbo Nile Valley to tbat point. (Received June 11,10.30 a.m.) Cairo, May 9. Many of tbo prisoners captured at > Forkeh have been recognised by Slatin Bey, including an Emir who befriended him while he was a prisoner in tbo Soudan, Slatin writes from Suakin tlmt tho Khalifa daily persecutes tho European prisoners and threatens to put theni to death.
