PROGRESSIVE WELLINGTON.
It is only about 15 months since Messrs George and Kerslcy, in an unostentatious way started their business which goes by the name of theEeonomio. Their principle of trading differed from other similar establishments in tho city, in that they sold their goods exclusively for cash, The expansion of the business has been such that twice already thoy have been compelled to extend their borders, and last week witnessed the opening ol the second portion of this extension, viz,, the addition of new beauti-fully-lighted showrooms on tho ground floor, This show room is about 85 feet long and about 23 broad, and is connected with the main building by an annex at tbe rear of Messrs Barraud's premises. The crowds of customers thronging the ware. houEO vere unanimous in their expressions of approval at the comfort of the arrangements made for the convenience of customers, and also at the splendid variety and wonderful value offered throughout the warehouse, well justifying the claims of the proprietors that the prices quoted are tho lowest in Wellington for first-class goods.— ADYT, •
