recent comment on I In l Cheviot Kslalc, says "Some liavo even concocted fairy tales about the estate." We are quite prepared lo prove the tale we have told about Cheviot, the talc which gives the lie to the statements of (jovernment newspapers. We will add one other fact to many we have already narraled. The annual produce from ithc Cheviot- Estate, is now very much less than it was before I lie Government took it over, settled it, and spent nearly forty thousand pounds in improving it. It is not much use for ill-informed people to misrepresent the facts about Cheviot, in Masterton, because there are people in this town who have been there, and who can, to any unprejudiced mind, refute the falsehoods that are being circulated about it,
