THE CHILD-MURDER CASES.
♦ ■— MS DEAN COMMITTED FOR TRIAL. Bt/Tehjrapl-Pmx Association, • Inyercaiigiu, Saturday. At the S.M. Court, Mr Poyuton committed Minnie Dean for trial for the murder of Dorothy Edith Carter, and discharged Charles Dean. He said thero was no evidence at 4 ! all against the husband, and he left the Court without a stain on his character. The police, however, were justified in arresting him, as they did not know what evidence might turn up. Mr Hanlou, solicitor for accused, admitted that the police had acted i fairly, and earned credit for the way they worked up the case. Dean shook hands with the solicitor and left. His wife will be tried at the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
