Vile, and Messrs J. Hesse.y aud It. E. Hornblow, the newly elected Trustees. YIINTTKS, The minutes of last meeting were rend and confirmed. CHAIRMAN. On the motion of Mr A. \X. Henall, ATr AY, Lowes was unanimously reelected Chaiiman for the ensuing year. In moving the resolution Mr'Henall paid a high compliment to Mr Lowes, Mr Danicll also eulogising the Chairman's high qualities. Mr Lowes in returning thanks for re-election, said this was the eighth time in succession the Tiustees had done him the honor to appoint him to tlic chair. During his connection with the Trust, they had been enabled to do a great deal of good to the town. He would also take the opportunity of welcoming Mr Danicll on his re-election, and Messrs Hornblow and Hcsscy on their election. He would agaiu thank them for the honor done. ME CASELIIEUG's CASE. The Chairman reported that the Committee appointed to meet Jlr Caselbcrg had met and waited a considerable lime, but Mr Caselbcrg did not put in an appearance or send any communication explaining his absence. Tho matter was therefore in abeyance. A letter from Mr Bunny with reference to Mr C'aselbcrg's lease of the Waipona Brewery was read stating the terms of the lease. The Chairmau said for the benefit of the new members he would rccavitulalc the position. Mr Caselbcrg had represented his case to the Trust as one of considerable hardship, certain leases having fallen into his hands over which he had lost a good deal. He therefore wished (he Trust to take over the whole of his leases, without making further claim. A meeting had been called to meet Mr Caselbcrg, and he was until the present moment under the impression that Mr Caselbcrg had not put in an appearance. The Clerk now informed him that after the Committee had gone away, Mr Caselbcrg had attended and had arranged with Mr Brown to submit his wishes in writing. This had not been done. It now • remained for the Trustees to decide : whether they should call upon Mr • Caselbcrg to erect buildings in the terms of his lease of the Waipoua Brewery 1 section (the building on which had been ; destroyed by (ire, Mr Caselbcrg receiv- ' ing the insurance), or as an alternative to allow him to surrender his leases on payment of ,0100, Mr Hornblow thought it no good putting the matter off from meeting to meeting. He would move that Mr Caselbcrg be called upon to carry out the conditions of the lease. Mr Vile seconded the motion pro forma. He thought the question of all Mr Caselberg's,leases should be considered. ' ' The Chairman thought it clearly the duty of tho Trust to call upon Mr Caselbcrg to carry out tho provisions of his lease. Mr Daniell agreed with this view. It would then be open for Mr Caselbcrg to rmiko suggestions. Mr Hcssey said this would bring ' matters to a linality. The resolution was carried. tbkasdheb's lIErOJIT. The Treasurer reported a credit balance at dale of £21712s sd, SALVATION JJABKACKS. Eusign J. Harrison wrote informing the Trustees that the Salvation Barracks had now been painted andrcqucsting tho Trust to pay the subsidy promised. It was resolved that the sum of £5, as agreed upon, be paid, THE DMLL HALL, Dan Lea wrote calling attention to the stato of the windows, Mr Hornblow moved thai tenders be called by the architect for pulling in the windows and covering them with wire netting.—Cauicd. APPLICATION TO LEASE. J. Montgomery made application for the lease of the section now held by him, and also the section at the back of it, : next to (he Drill Hall. I The Chairman thought they could not . deal with tho matter at all.witliout putling tho sections up to auction, but before anything was done, or any definite , arrangements regarding the Drill Hall settled, it would require consideration, He would moyc, that the Idler be left oyer for consideration until nest meeting, _ litis course was adopted. THE IIIIOOM NUISANCE. With reference to tho section next to the School, the Chairman said he could ( not recommend • the application to ' the paddock for five years at ■ peppercorn rental. The stand ' might bo _• required by the Trust at any time for building sections. At present the paddock was cowed with broom and he therefore thought as there was n good deal of surplus labor about, it would be a good

plan to put a, few men on to root it up afterwards ploughing'the ground twice f to destroy the broom. Finally on the motion of Mr Danioll the Chairman and Mr Hcssoy too ,_ appointed to deal with the matter. accounts. . ' * Accounts as submitted were passed for payment, ' An accoant from Mr Bunny for legal ! charges was wad. ■ Mr Dauicll asked if tho Trust had any ' advantage by Mr linnny acting as its ' solicitor. 1 The Chairman roplicd thai if Mr 1 Danicll meant as regards fees, tliey had 1 not. Mr Tile said lie did not think the Trust should recognise Mr Bunny as their solicitor. He had not been appointed by the Trust as far as ho (Mr Vile) knew. Tho Clerk said the Committee had arranged with Mr Bunny some time ago, The Chairman thought sonio of the 10/'s and li/B's in the Bill should not have been charged to the Trust but the tenants, However, tne account might' bo passed for payment, subject to his (the Chairman) seeing Mr Bunny on the matter. This course was adopted. TENDEIIS. Tenders were received for renovating a cottage in Quccn-st. now in the occupa. (ion of MrE, Brnggins:—K. Bigg, £3l 6s, accepted ;G. Haskell,,©! (informal); I J. Hotelkeeping entails a great loss of sleep, and consequently there are other disagreeables attached to it. As I have been in business for a number of years, I consider there is nobody better able to speak on the subject than 1 am. The symptoms brought on by overwork and want of rest were the following:—Loss ' of appetite, and extreme nervousness; I also found that my eyesight was im- ' pared, that is, that when I attempted to look at anything it . .seemed to be moving. 1 had tried every remedy in my own house without dcrivingany benelit from them. Seeing Clements Tonic advertised so • much in the local newspapers, I started taking it, and found from the first bottle that I regained my usual rest, in fact it was n perfect stimulant or invigoralor, when 1 was quite unstrung from want of rest; lam still using it and intend doing so, it is (he best pirk-mc-up in the world ■ and as an appetiser it cannot be equalled.--! remain, yours, &c, P.
