Phoebe was a daughter | of the King of Australian sires, Sir Heresies. ! Fair Agnes ia addition to Muster Agnes, has I thrown another good hurdle raorr in Magnesia | and a fairish sprinter ia St Agnes, Rose A'Bouheur and her sons. Maroro, Chokebore, I and Badsworth, were all above the average I on the Turf. As a two year eld Master Agnes won the ! Spring Nursery Handicap at the O.J.C. I Metropolitan Meeting and he followed this up by getting home in front ef a field of flye 'in the Two year old Handicap, but was disqualified on the ground of a cross. At the O.J.C. Dagg, Masterton, and is out of his prize mare Grace, by Lord Nelson. Grace cut of Jenny, by . Young Prince Charley. Jenny was bred by Mr A. Coc'tburn, Manaia, and is out of Jess by Young liof tY. Grace was only exhibited once when she gained first as a two year old. jenney Masher's grand dam was only exhibited three times, gaining three first and two special prizes. Lord Nelson was wellknown to breeders in the 'NVairarapa, and gained many honours in the show ring, not only here, but in the South Island. The Slasher gained first prise in Masterton in 1885 also Mr I,awrence's special of £o for the b«st foal by Lord Nelson, and in 1886 he gained first at CartertoH. It is needless to say any more as the above named horses were so well and favorably known in the Wairaiapa, is in itself a sufficient guarantee to breeders. The Masher will travel to Greytown on Tuesdays ami Masterton on Thursdays, and the rest of the week at his owner's stables, Park Road, Carterton.
