A meeting of the Board was held on Saturday last. Present—Messrf Maunsell (Chairman), Lang doti and Elder. , . ■
The minutes of the previous ■ meetjug were read and confirmed. . The Treasurer reported balaiico in Bank £432 2s sd, and balance available for future exjjenditnre, £ll2 9s 3d. Letters;, .were road from Alfred ton Road Board, re the transfer of Mr Warreft'slproperfcy,: and a portion "of the Crown Lauds adjoining From Chief Surveyor, re road to section 865. From Messrs Elder and- Co., requesting that: some, repairs be a "portion'of;the'Uriti;Road, arid/asking the; j3ottrd:to raise:-a;:ioatf under --the toanß Act, to make aiud- metal the .road from their;wqol shed to tbe' main road. From ilr'Cox, stating tbafc a portion of tbe.Timii Y,<ssrJtoad;h'ad slipped into the" river, reqneetiiig •the Board to-repair it.'- - '
Mr Gaoieron attended in respect to ■getting Wioad- surveyed through Messrs -L'ftngdon's main road to Rews Rewe.'". ■ "

' Resolved That Messrs Elder and ■Langdon be.. direoted ,to negotiate a meeting with, Messrs Dagg and 'Hawkins with a ; view, to settle- tbe doubtful account with the.County ~CoUacil?- : That . the recommendation of the Alfred ton Road Board to transfer a portion of unsurvcyed Crown Land to the Alfredton district would entail confusion of the area in this .district and therefore be not agreed to. That Messrs Langdon Bros be asked to allow a road to be laid, off to Rewe Rewe, on terms of compensation. That Mr Raw&on be communicated with in respect to the survey of tbe Adam's Peak road. That men be employed to make repiira on .the Uriti and other roads. That tenders be called for foriuihg a portion of the Tinui Valley Road and shifting fence. That tenders be called for formation ofilder's Hill road. That the Chairman and Mr Andrew be appointed to sign the rate book. The notice of . motion standing in Messrs Thompson and Andrews names was again postponed. Mr Elder gave notice that at tho next meeting of the Board he wouldl move that the provisions of the Loca Bodies Loan Aot be brought into operation. . -V:
