LICENSING COURT.
(Before H, S. Wardell, J. Bennett, and 0. A. Vallance, Commissioners.) The adjourned sitting of the Court was held at Mastcrton yesterday, when the following transfers were made : UPPER WAIIUEAPA DISTRICT, grnma Sjau(|en applied to transfer the license of the Hnronuiorangi Hotel to James Sextan. No objection being raised, either by the public or the police, the application was granted. The trustee in the'bankrupt estate of H. Cohen applied to transfer' the license of the Marquis of Normanby Hotel, Carterton to T. Urwin. Application granted. MASTERTON DISTRICT. The application to transfer the license of the Prince of Wales Hotol from J. E. Thompson to T. Wagg was granted, the poliqe,-reporting tbil tjjq house was coifflucted' in a proper manner. "The Court enquired whether it was f rne that Mr McKenzie, of the Eketalmna Hotel, wa.s, as had.hqen stated, using his house as a general store, as well as hotel ? Sergt. M'Ardlo informed the Court that the police had received an intimation to that effect, but on an inspection being made Jt was been cleared away, and the business was not now conducted at-the. hotel,
