In introducing tas eligible investment to the notice of the public, the promoters desire to state that the Company's rights comprise the best, most available, extensive, and perhaps most valuable Marble deposits in the known world, at all events in the Southern Hemisphere. This is sufficiently proved by Caswell Sound Marblo securing ret prize at the late Sydney Exhibition against Italian Statuary and other valuable varieties. They also wish to dwell upon its known certainty aud non-speculative character, the ultimate success of this venture being now established. The lowest quotation for this Marble is 12s per foot, and ranees up to £o. Larger blocks are, however, much more valuable, some pure White Statuary, without flaws, realising as much £2O 000 sterling in Europe. The ordinary jce for a block suitablo for a life-size human statue being about -UOOO .The present cost of producing this Marble by manual labor onlv is abopt 2s per cubic foot, f.o.b. -These figures may appear incredible, but they are nevertheless absolutely correct- Thuß, taking the cost of reduction as stated, and the very lowest ,:holesale quotations at 12s per foot, gives the apparently fabulous minimum rate of ?00 percent, profit. It is. therefore.no visional matter, as these are leading commercial lines and the values well known, the facilities of production, shipment, high quality of product giving a vast advantage. over any like property in the world. We will also venture to predict that the valu'o of the Company's shores will increase at least 300 per ceut. within twelve months of issue. Referring to consumption of these commodities, it is also enormous.- ,Thoconsumption of Marble, Portland Cement, and Lime in the Australian Colonies alone during the last twelvo months 'has been £2,862,600 sterling, a id,rapidly;increasing. Caswell Sound is a commodioiui j and safe harbor for the largest vessels in all westhors, the works of tho Company being situated the water's edge. The Government of this Colony has also promised to favorably consider Bpecial grants and concessions in aid as soon as the Company is successfully floated.
