THE TICHBORNE CLAIMANT.
(Manchester Guardian.)
The Claimant is represented, on the authority of an "underground" correßP'mdentof a contemporary, to be in the best of health and spirits, and the life and soul of a select number of convicts, sonn of whom have fallen greatness in the professions of medicine and the law. Tht usual serenity of Mr Orton's demeanor was disturbed .when he heard of the death of Di Kenealy, and he expressed keen regret that the learned gentleman had not survived to enjoy the income of a Chief Justice, which his grateful client had intended to " settle on hiin when h» recovered his. estates." The news that the unfortunate ex-member for Stoke had not died in poverty somewhat relieved the Claimant's affliction, but he persisted in atlvilmlrag his death to the "crushings" and •'. houndiugg" which the doctor had received from "Cross and Beaconsfield."
