CONTRADICTION.
[To the Editor Wairakapa Daily.] March 13,1880. Sir,—Hoping you will find a small corner in ygur valuable columns as regards the night-cart washing. As one of our most respectable tradesmen has seen the night-cart washed in one of the town streams, or a stream near the town, I say this most respectable tradesmen has told a deliberate falsehood for once in his life. He ought not to be afraid to put his name, and put it in full. We have only one. night-cart in Masterton, and I, the contractor for the removal of night-soil since the Ist January, 1880, can faithfully say that the Masterton Borough night-cart has never been washed in a stream.or a creek since it has been in my possession; but it has been washed, and clean too, cleaner, I daresay, than this most respectable tradesman's closet floor. If he would look after his own closet, and leave the night-cart washing alone, it would look a great deal better of him, unless he could find a complaint to lay either about the cart, night-soil, or washing—a true one, uot a falsehood. lam, &c, G, M. Wood. P.S.—lf this most respectable tradesman would like to be a nightman, he can come as my assistant, providing he-can put down a small deposit, - 6. M. W.
