WAIRARAPA HOSPITAL.

The Committee of the above met at Messrs F. H, Wood &Co/s offices, Greytoivn, on Tuesday. Present-Rev. Thomas (in the chair), Messrs Cuff, Wu«-d, and jilje secretary, The minutes of previous meeting were read and continued, ' The treasurer reported a credit balance of £209 4s4d. The following accounts-were passed for •payment 7—Jas.; Beard, £l9s 6d; hire of vehicle?, £ll2s 3d; Fabiau Bros., stores, £Bl2s lid. • Secretary read, as report the remarks entered"in the Hospital Diary by visitors, and" submitted list of patients admitted

from each township and district, dating from .April 29th, 1878, to February 29th, 1880, as' followsßeetham's station 1, Whareama 1, Tauherenikau 1, Lake Ferry I,' Morrison's Bush 1, Forty-Mile Bush 1, East Coast 2, Wailienga 4, Lower Yalley 4, Masterton 8, Railway works 8, Carterton 11, Featheraton 11, Grey town 14; total .68.

It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Wood, that pieces of carpet be obtained for the side of patients'beds. • The-'secretary was instructed to hand the order for bottles and drugs, as supplied by the doctor, to Mr St. Georgeffor execution, and also to have the s alterations in the dispensary completed at once. . - A letter was read from Colonial Secre-< tary acknowledging the receipt of returns \ of hospital for quarter ending December 31st, and advising that a cheque for subsidy, .£14319s id, had been passed for payment.. ...

Mr Wood was asked to act as visitor for the month. The meeting then adjourned.
