_ The Provisional Directors will endeavor to induce the Government to grant to members of the Association such modification of the land on deferred payment clauses of ''The Land Act, 1877, as may facilitate occupation by bona fide settlers and subscribers without necessitating strict compliance with the present provisions of lliosj clauses. The Provisional Directors will also endeavor to make ample reserves for religions, educatio al, suggested by the Minister of Lands to tho oeputation which lately waited upon the Government with a view of bringing this scheme under their notice and favorable consideration,

The payments are to bo computed on some well-defined, liberal, and easily-understood system of deferred payments, to be made by instalments extending jver a period of, say not less than ten (10) years.
