The Provisional Directors will endeavor to induce the Government to grant to members of the Association such modification of tho land on deferred payment clauses of ''The Land Act, 1877, as may facilitate occupation bv bona fide settlers and subscribers without necessitating strict compliance with the present provisions of those clauses. The Provisional Directors will also endeavor to make ample reserves for religious, educatio al, recreation and publio health purposes, as suggested by the Minister of Lands to the deputation which lately waited upon the Government with a view of bringing this scheme under their notice and favorable consideration, The payments are to be computed on some well-defined, liberal, and easily-understood system of deferred payments, to be made by instalments extending mx a period of, say not less than ten (10) years, Eac h subscribing member will be required to deposit a oum equal to ten per centum of the total value of the share of land he applies for before his abplication can be entertained, and a further payment of two per centum per month on said total value until tuch time as the block to be applied for is obtained by the Association, and possession can be given to the applicants, or until sich time as the Association shall make arrangements with the Government for alloting land to the subscribers, provided always that such monthly payments of two per centum do not extend to a further period than six months from date of application. All moneys received are to be paid into the Colonial Bank of New Zealand to the Association's account, t« be opened in the name of the Trustees, on fixed deposit bearing interest, and no withdrawals or payments to bo made by cheque against such account without the authority and signatures of the Treasurer, one of the Trustees, and three Directors being firßt obtained. Agents, or Acting-Directors, for the Association, will also be appointed in all the centres of population throughout the provincial district ut soon as practicable.
