The Provisional Directors will endeavor to induce the Government to "rant to members of the Association such mollification of the land on deferred payment clauses of ''The Land Act, 1877, as may facilitate occupation hv bona fide settlers and subscribers without necessitating strict compliance with the present provisions of tiiosj clauses. The Provisional Directors will also endeavor to make ample reserves for religious, educatio al, recreation and public health purposes, as suggested by the Minister of Lands to the deputation which lately waited upon the Government with a view of bringing this scheme under their notice and favorable consideration, The payments are to lie computed on some well-defined, liberal, and easily-understood system of deferred payments, to be made by instalments extending iver a period of, say not less than ten (10) years. J'luch subscribing member wih be required to deposit a sum equal to ten per centum of the total value of the share of land he applies for before his abplication can be entertained, and a further payment of two per centum per month on said total value until i ucli time as the block to he applied lor is obtained by the Association, and possession can be given to the applicants, or until s.icli time as the Association shall make arrangements with the Government for allotiny land to the subscribers, provided always that such monthly payments of two per centum do not extern! to a further period thai) six months from date of application. All moneys received are to be paid into the Colonial Bank of New Zealand to the Association's account, t<> be opened in the mime of the Trustees, on fixed deposit bearing interest., and no withdrawals or payments to be made by cheque against such account without the authority and signatures of the Treasurer, one of the 'trustees, and three Directors being first obtained. Agents, or Acting-Directois, for the Association, will also bo appointed in all the centres of population throughout the provincial distiictas soon as practicable.
