(PER PRESS AGENCY.) WELLINGTON. , Sunday. It is reported that the Opposition are making overtures to the Government with a view to coalition so as to terminate the deadlock. Committees are appointed to decide the
question of the Auckland and Ohristchurch seats. As the Opposition have a clear majority on the committees, the elections will probably not be disturbed. Frederick Symonds, of Hokitika, has been committed for trial for manslaughter by causing the death of his son through I exposure and neglect.
