Miss Rosa Creemer who has been the guest of Mrs W. Bell. Geraldine, has returned to Waimate. Miss Strong has returned to Dunedin after spending a few weeks with Miss Milne, Stonewall. Mr and Mrs W. P. Black left on Thursday for Dunedin, where they will spend the Xmas holidays. Miss J. Buchanan left Waimate yesterday to spend the Xmas holidays at Hamilton. Miss V. Reynolds, of Dunedin, arrived to-day to spend the holidays in AYaimate. Mr and Mrs R. E. MeGettigan returned to Waimate on Wednesday after spending a month’s holiday in Otago Central. The ex-Kaiser’s sister. Princess Victoria, the wife of Alexander Zoubkoff, has been offered £50,000 for a lecture tour of Europe and the United States. Mr and Mrs L. -J. Collins, accompanied by Miss O. Collins, left Waimate yesterday for a motor tour of the North Island. Captain and Mrs Hennessey, Air and Mrs Neill Rattray, Mr and Mrs E. C. Stv.i’holme, Miss Janet Stiidholine and Miss Kathleen Wood were guests at the wedding in Timaru on Thursday of Miss Margaret Elworthy, eldest daughter of Mr and Airs Herbert Elworthv, to Captain John N. Bendyshe. Aliss Aleta 11. L. Englebrecht and Air E. E. Englebrecht, of Waimate, both students of Canterbury College, wore successful in the recent University of New Zealand examinations.
