THE BISLEY MEETING. (Per Press Association —Copyright) LONDON, July 16. The Empire Match at Bisley has completed the firsti phase. The position at the close of the day’s shooting was:—Mother Country 1102, Australia 1091, India 1090, Canada 1072. HOOK. On Monday evening the Hook Miniature Rife Club fired the first round of a two-night shoot for a trophy donated by their Patron, Mr J. Bitchener M.P. Best scores off the rifle were: —11. Holland, C. Hose 78. J. Medlicott, H. Meyer, G. MaeKenzie, J. Trott 77. D. Campbell, S. I’athgen, (1. Wilson 76, J. Campbell, W. Dempsey 75, E. Penno, C. Alexander, C. Medlicott 74. H. Holland holds the Challenge button for this week. WAIMATE M.R. CLUB. The Waimate Miniature Rifle Ciib held its weekly shoot on Friday last. The trophy* presented by Mr H. C. Foster resulted in a tie between J. Mumford, F. Wilee, F. Tew, T. Stevens. .1. Granger, A. Kerniek and F'. Simpson, and the shoot-off will be fired next shoot. The following are the highest scores off the rifle: — A. Kerniek 79, G. Joyce 78, T. Stevens 78, J. Mumford 77, F. Simpson 77, S. Malthus 76, J. Granger 76, W. Paterson 76, A. Dunnill 75, F. Tew 75, R. Cameron 75, Major Wain 74, N. Bird 74, G. Bird 74, A. Bishop 74, J. Glynn 74. I. Mills 74, G. Manchester 73, G. Jones 73, N. Grylls 72, Nelson 72, F. Wilee 72. E. Segar 72, A. Stephens 70. The Paterson weekly button was won by* A. Kerniek with 79 off the rifle. The shoot-eff for the trophy presented by Mr J. J. Healey the previous week, resulted in a win for G. Manchester. The second round of the “Daily Advertiser” Shield will be fired on Thursday night. The next club shoot will be fired on Friday night, when a friendly match with Morvan A. and B. teams will also be fired. Range Officer: Major Wain.
