ANGRY SCENES IN HOUSE. (Per Press Association— Copyright). OTTAWA, May 4. There were angry scenes in the House of Commons, when Mr R. B. Bennett, the Tory leader protested against the Prime Minister dragging the name of Lord Wi lingdon into the controversy to influence the vote. ’The Premier sharply denied the charge. The Tories, Progressives and United Farmers of Alberta voted together in support of the Tory amendment, which was defeated by only 11. It was over a vote of 1501,000 dollars for the residence of the GovernorGeneral in Quebec citadel that the dispute arose. Mr J. D. Chaplin moved a reduction to 70,000 dollars. Mr H. H. Stevens (Conservative) said it would be ridiculous to spend 70,000 dollars on furniture ' and curtains. Mr J. S. Woodworth protested against the “introduction of the feudal system.” ___________
