SYDNEY, April 22. Amongst the destruction wrought by the storm was the shattering of the memorial to the late/'State Governor (Sir Walter Davidson), erected by public subscription in South Head cemetary, at a cost fo several thousand sterling.

To-day is the coldest April day ever recorded in Sydney. The maximum temperature was 5 6deg. The first batch of the Riverina passengers has arrived, little worse for their alarming experiences. The tug St. Giles arrived at the scene of the Hiverina’s stranding and further attempts to tow her off will be made to-day.
