WAIMATE CLUB’S POPULAR FIXTURE.
CONCLUDING: RESULTS. The final of the pairs for the Waimate Easter Tournament. was played yesterday,, between O. Jacksou’ and J. J. Healey (s) and A. Dec and W. Grainger (s), resulting in a win for the former pair by 25 to 3. The dav. wag fine, and the green was in good order. Spectators lined the bank and took a keen interest in the game. Grainger was five up on tie fourth head, but from then in Healey scored freely and gained the ascendency which he maintained
throughout.. At the fifteenth head Grainger was 13 and Healey 18, and the remaining six heads went to Healey, bringing his total to 25.
The final of the rinks was be t.wecn Parry-,. Jackson, Collett, and Healey (s), Waimate, and Robertson, Bendall, Aitchison and Hincn - cliffi (s), Anderson’s Bay. The
match was a very exciting one, first one and then the other rink gaming the ascendency. With three heads tp go, Anderson s Bay were 6 up but in the remaining the Waimate rink scored 5, 3 and 1, giving them the victory by 3 points. The final scores wepe Waimate 23, Anderson's Bay 20.
