WAIMATE AUCTION MART. The Waimate Auction Mart report holding their usual weekly sale on Saturday last of Pigs, Poultry, Furniture and -sundries. There was a medium yarding of 42 pigs, prin - cipally stores, which met with good demand. Good cows near piofit are enquired for, but poor sorts are unsaleable. There was a good en • quiry for all sorts. Supplies of tomatoes are easing off and prices are firmer. Peaches are* practically finished. Eggs remain firm at late rates. We sold:— Pigs—Best weaners 27/6, others 10/- to 21/6; stores realised from 41/- to 60/-. Cows—We sold one at £6 15s, one at £5, one at £3 7s. Poultry—Old hens 1/6 to 1/9 each
