ARCADIA PICTURES.
TO-NIGHT AND THURSDAY.
“DANCING MOTHERS.” When father starts “stepping” does mother stay at home by the fireside 1 That's the question answered in “Dancing Mothers,” ihe new Paramount picture, whicq comes to the Arcadia Theatre Wednesday and Thursday. And the answer would seem to be, that, although this may have been the correct thing to do years ago, when driving a. horse and buggy was considered the height of fashion, in this year of our Lord it is distinctly not so. No, sir, in the words of the song, “Mama goes where papa goes, or papa don’t go out tonight I” i So—we have the situation of a “dancing mother” who falls in love with her daughter’s bachelor friend. And then—but you’d better see the picture in order to find out what happens. Herbert Brenon directed “Dane ing Mothers,” which co-stars Conway Tearle, Alice Joyce and Clara Bow.
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.

Before the scenes were to be taker', director Tom Forman informed Miss Dean that a “double” had been engaged to perform the dance and that she would have to appear or.ly in the close-ups “Well, you can cancel her right, now I” Priscilla replied with the same fire and sincerity she displays o’: the screen. You don’t- suppose I’ve forgotten all I learned on the stage!”
And thus it was revealed that Priscilla Dean had danced in the New York version of thv Follies Bcrgere when she was in her ear.y teens and before she took up screen work. “The Crimson Runner” is an original story by Harvey Gates, author of “Merry Go Round,” and “The Wildcat of Paris,” one of Miss Dean’s notable earlier triumphs Featured in the supporting cast a r e Ward Crane, Taylor Holmes, Mitch ell Lewis, James Neill, Alan Hale
