THE PLOUGHING MATCH

CASE TRACTORS TO BE SEEN AT WORK. A matter of general interest to farmers of this district will be the “Case’’ tractors in operation at the ploughing match on August 4th. There will be two of these machines in operation, the ‘‘Case'’ 18-32 H.P., with four furrow plough, and the “Case” 12-20 H.P. with three furrow plough. Farmers are recommended to witness these machines in actual operation ; they will be under ■ the direction of the local agent, Mr J. A. Lash. There arc manv notable features of the “Case” which make it the ideal machine for the farmer; the engine being across the frame thus eliminates bevel gearing and it has straight cut spur gears, notably those of the traction engine. The clutch is easy of access, and for renewing faces it may be removed in half an hour.

The engine is equipped with forcefeed lubrication through the crank shaft to the main and big end bear ings, pump water circulation and fan driven by spiral gear. Centrifugal ball governors, three bearing crank shaft, cylinders with removable liners and clutch and rear wheel brakes combine to make a sol id and ."reliable machine. The gears arc of crome steel, accurately cut an'it veFy strong, coupled with compactness, the shafts being set up on Hyall Roller Bearings. The machine is sturdily built throughout and will stand up to the most severe conditions.. The machine is equipped with rear fender? grouters, and front, skid rims as regular equipment, besides the impulse starter on the magneto. The importers, John Chambers and Sons carry extensive stocks of spare parts for all sizes of these tractors and the “Case solicits inspection and inquiry. See it _ in operation and judge for yourself.
