IRISH ARMY CRISIS.
A GRAVE MENACE. PBB PBBBB ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT LONDON, March 20. Speaking in the Dail, Mr O’Duffy, Minister of Home Affairs, said th? Executive Council believed that there existed a grave menace in the army, where there were divisions, societies ana cleavages, which did not exist in a normal disciplined army. The Council were not satisfied that they existed without the knowledge of the heads oi the army. Mr O’Duffy, who has been appointed Minister of Defence and InspectorGeneral of the Army, said he would exact absolute discipline. Mr Mulcahy said the Government, in his opinion, were condoning mutiny. Mr McGrath, whose recent resignation as Minister of Industry has been accepted, declared that the orders for last night’s raids w'tere issued for the purpose of creating trouble. General McCahon, having been declared a rebel,, the Free State Government is cancelling his commission.
