While two fishermen were taking a launch to the fishing grounds off Eden a shark which was pursuing a fish raised itself sufficiently out of the water to topple into the boat. The monster measured twelve feet in length and five feet in girth. It was killed with the greatest of difficulty and the winch geax had to be requisitioned to remove the carcase.
