A meeting of North Canterbury Threshing Mill-owners was held today for the purpose of considering whether it was possible to reduce threshing rates, and thus afford relief to farmers; and a resolution was passed that prices remain as at present with 10 per cent discount, and that a Jd rebate be allowed on oats. Regarding hour work, the charges for wheat barley, and linseed will be 50/- and for grass 45/-.
