Per Press Association—Cortyrig’it),, NEW YORK, Jan. 10. Amundsen announced that he will shortly start on a five year trip, drifting over the roof of the world from Alaska to Norw’ay. He expressed the opinion that the North Polar air currents affect the weather of the world, and he will try especially to study the currents during the drifting as well as the currents under the surface polar seas and ice. He added: “Perhaps this knowledge will enable us to prophesy the weather of the world for a long time in advance, in order that farm operations and other pursuits may be benefitted.” KEMALIST PUNISHMENT.
