The gossiping villagers interfere and on suspicion that ho : is leading a double life, Holden is discharged. While his suecessc/ir is in charge, a great ah' rajd takes place over England, and the lighthouse is blown ,to atoms. A transport is coming ashore in tv storm without a light to guide it and old David saves it by sotting fire to bis cottage. On the ship is Rob Benson. Jane is discovered to he old David’s daughter, and tall ends well. •
