A THIRD MORE BEER.
LIGHTER BREW FOR FARM AND MUNITION WORKERS. (Daily Mail Political correspondent) The Government is to permit enethird more b oer to be brewed during the summer months. The extra quantity is to, boa, lighter beer. It is calculated that by reducing the strength of the. ordinary beer enough can be brewed to satisfy the demands of agricultural labourers, miners, and munition workers. Mr Lloyd George has postponed his statement. The negotiations for State control or State purchase of the Liquor mule have not been abandoned. The Commissioners appointed to exammo the financial situation will make their report ’in due course and the matter will then bo submitted to Parliament if the Cabinet considers the proposals sufficiently advantageous. 1
