During this month, planting of shrubs, roses; ana fruit trees can be proceeded with with every prospect of success. Finish pruning ; roses ah,d late flowering shrubs; sow (or greenhouse and early borders tomato seed; also in'the ■ corner of the garden sow ! peas, broad beans, potatoes (early varieties), cabbage, lettuce cauliflower, onions, on well prepared land. About the end of the month plant asparagus. ■ yhia vegetable deserves a'place in every garden being a very spring vegetable. Broccoli that is just commencing to head should bef manured; this will increase the size and compactness of the heads. •Plant ,oufc as early in the month as possible cabbage and cauliflower plants; manure and dig all vacant Spots.
