WAIMATE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Waimate Auxiliary of the above took place, in the Primitive Methodist Church, in the form of a devotional meeting in conjunction with the combined monthly prayer meeting. There were only about twenty present, owing to counter attractions. Mr K. Meredith, President, addressed the meeting, expiating in an interesting manner upon the work of the Society throughout the world.and urging the pursuance of the good object. The annual report referred to the loss by the death of Mr G. H.Graham, who had carried on the secretarial work with enthusiasm and efficiency for many years. Mr P. Russell had taken up the duties meanwhile. In Beekirg out collectors, tha Committee had found that some had transferred their activities to the Foreign Mission caus°, and others t> the Barnadi Homes, but fresh volunteers had come in to take up the positiots, and to the collectors as a whole were due the thanks of the Committee and the Society. The Bmount cullected aggregated £76 12s lOd. Expenditure amounted to £7 19s, leaving £6B 13s ret, of which amount £65 3s would be sent as a free contribution to the parent Society. Rev. T.-H. Spencer paid his annual visit during the month of June, and spoke upon the general work of the Society. A collection was taken up, amounting to the sum of 14s 9d. The meeting passed votes of thanks to the President for bis work during the year, also to the Committee and the Secretary (Mr Russell). Mr Meredith wai re-elected President, and Mr E. Hassall Vice-Presi-deDt, and the old Committee was reelected, with the addition of several new members.
