Choral Society.
The Choral Society Committee met on Thursday afternoon, and reaolved to obtain music from the Invercargjli Society. It was decided by the Management committee, owing to the diificnlty of finding a suitable evening during the week for practise, to ask thy various choirs if they could ana'ige to allow their members to attend th-j Choral practice on Friday nights. A deputation con- \ sisting of the President (Dr. Barclay) and Messrs Hamilton and Akhurst waited on the choirs last evening, when, with the exception of one, they all agreed to the proposal. The Wesleyan choir, not having a full attendance of members deferred the cotigHerati(.n till nvxl Friday night, and the Choral Society practice will, under these circumstances, not be likely to take place till the week after next.
