A communique says: Some 20,000 Austrians attacked our lines on the Asbgo Plateau, between Mount Pari and Mount Lewerlc. ' These broke down, the enemy leaving piles of dead. The enemy made a night attack in the Lagnrina Valley, hut fled precipitately at daylight, after three hours severe hand to hand fighting. Onr line at Adige lireya. is firmly held. The enemy's costly efforts to break the lino failed. HOME, June 18. A communique says: There is a continuance of severe fighting in the Asigo. This indicates that the Austrians are stubbornly persisting in their original offensive. The events on the east front have not materially affected Austrian activity in the Trenfino. They have not withdrawn troops This will he more difficult later in view of our counter offensive. We dispersed advance posts betweeen Adiage and Astieo. The enemy violently attempted to break through between Mounts Lcmerelo and Magnahosche but were, driven hack. We further progressed in the Sugana Valley.
