O.MAKA HACK HANDICAP, c.f CD s-ivn.; seven furlongs.—Plunder (8.42) 1, Charlt-ros» (7.11) 2. Wild Tiird (7..4'. ■‘l. Kosiau (6.13) also started. Won by half a length. Time. ’IIIVERLANDS HANDICAP, one mile.—Rene (9.4) 1, Alecto (7.9) 2, Pen ncal (9.0) 3. Also started; —Tniarose (9.0), and Beacon (7.3). AVon by a neck. Time.—l.43 1-5.
DASH HACK HANDICAP, of 40 s«vs.; five furlongs.—Excitement (8.3) 1. Lady Vladimir (9.3) 2, Arlington (9.9) 3. Also ran; Kron Boy (7.6), t iiseo 7.7, British Bose 7.0). A close finish, opinions differing. The judge gave Excitement the verdict bv a no-e. Time.—l.3 2-5.
FOURTH TROT of 40 <;ovs.; one mile.—AVelcome Jack (ssecs) 1, Forest Bill (7secs) 2, Lady Scfton (llsecs) 3. Also ran: Flora Dillon (Bsccs), Chelston (scr.), Winston M. (11). AA r on by three lengths. Time:—2.33. TELEGRAPH HANDICAP, of 80 sovo.; six furlongs.—Simple Sam (8.0) 1, Peronilla (9.9) 2, Alt. Victoria (8.11) 3. Also ran:—Mowbray (8.7), Alecto (7.13). Alecto was badly left. Simple Sam was prominent throughout. Peronilla made a great charge, hut was defeated by a quarter of a length. Time:—l.ls 2-5.
SECOND WELTER, of 60 sots.; six furlongs.—Arlington (10.8) 1, Whisperer (8.6) 2, Excitement (9.8) 3. Also ran:—Royal Sleeves 9.4, Manifest 8.0. Royal Sleeves led from the barrier. At the bend the three placed horses went to the front. Arlington forging ahead in the straight, and winning by a quarter of a length. Time 1.17.
The totalisator handled £5,915; the total for the meeting being £11,265, a decrease of £7lO over last spring figures.
