POLLARD’S PICTURES. MONDAY. “AVild Animals at Large’’ is the star of the now programme to be screened at tho Prim-css Theatre on Wednesday next. It is a two thousand foot AritafCraph animal comedy, and the first of a now scries that are being ro-Icascd bv the famous film producers. ,It tells the story of a travelling circus entrained for the next town, the wrecking of iho train and the lolling loose of the circus Stenagcric on a country road-side. Lions, tigers, bears, Elephants, and reptiles are seen to take possession of a small town and . produce a comedy replete with continuous merriment, until they are recaptured by tlTcir keepers. “One Round o‘Brien’s Flirtation” introduces an old favourite, and several ■other KincußU gems promise the production of a first grade, programme. AICAf AtlO.V BROS’. CIRCUS., Messrs AlcAlahon Bros, great Circus and Hippodrome will give another entertainment in Hokitika next Tju'sday. The |o' 'gramme given her on \\ ednestiav was a very good one and highlv pleased those who Ventured out on such a rough night. The various items hv the famous Alton family were grctttlv appreciated, while the antics.of a number of performing dogs were well worth the price of admission. The trick ponies came in for :i fair share of applause and were well handled by Alt'. L. -McMahon, their trainer. The ever welcome Clowns and Dummies wauled roars of laughter with their comical antics and gags. The principal hems had to he abandoned as the gale which prevailed on the night in question had increased and at i 1.20 p.m. the tent had to be lowered to save it from destruction. The large amli -nee certainly sympathised with the proprietors and hy request the whole entertainment wid be shewn mi Tmsday night, when a crowded house is anticipated.
