[FEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.—COPYRIGHT.] A REEFTON FIRE. REEFTON, May 2.—Tapp’s tailoring shop was gutted by fire last night. Th stock, fittings, and made suits were destroyed. Pedrazzi, dentist, who is next door also suffered. Insurances on building (T. ,J. Malloy, owner) £3OO in Phoenix and stock £220 in London and Lancashire. MINISTER OF PUBLIC WORKS. NELSON, May 2.—Hon. Mac Donald, Minister of Public Works, arrived today, and left, accompanied by Mr. Atmore, to inspect the Nelson back country, especially Murchison, and the proposed railway extensions. The Minister was welcomed to Nelson by tho Mat or and others. Hon. Lauronson is expected at the end of the week.
