WESTPORT, August 3. The West Coast Golf Championships took place in tho Orawaiti Links today. Miss Snodgrass won the Ladies Championship, with Miss N. Kettle (Greymouth) as runner up, just one point behind, and Mr R. Lynch (Westport) won the Men’s Championship, with Mr J. Pair (Westport) runner-up; Miss Kettle badly , missed two easy puts on the last green, robbing her of an opportunity of winning tho championship with the first shot and of tieing on the second. The following are the scores:— • -

Ladies Championship.—Miss Snodgrass' 104, Miss N. Kettle 105, Mrs Munro 109, Miss N. Logie 115, Miss Berry 116, Miss Blackmore 117, Miss Kettle 119, Miss J. Bailie 121, Mrs Nancarrow 121, Miss Kemplo 130. Men’s Championship.—R. Lynch 127, J. Fair 129, T. Lynch 133, A. A. Wilson 142, Dalgleish 145, Brereton 149, McFarlaue 151, J. Mullan 153, Kettle 156, Shallcrass 157, Nancarrow 159, Reynolds 164, Cameron 167. Miss V. Kettle (Greymouth) and Mr J.. Fair (Westport) won the Eclectic and Mrs Munro (Westport) and. Mr A. A. Wilson (Westport) the handicap prizes. ■

Mr R. Lynch’s score is understood to be the best put .up in .a West Coast Championship. His three rounds showed consistency, being 43, 42, 42.
