THE SUPREME COURT.

WELLINGTON, September s.— At the Supreme Court yesterday Alfred Binder . for common assault, was sentenced to three months' hard labour. John Tancred, charged with breaking and entering,' in whose case two juries had failed to agree was remanded on bail till the next criminal sitting. Henry Melville was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment for receiving stolen property. Richard Henry Pratt, charged with stealing cattle at Ngahauranga was found not guilty.
