THE RAILWAY TIMETABLE.
The following telegram was received by the. Mayor of Kumara on Saturday
afternoon :—"I: — "I have received your telegram of yesterday ,asking on behalf of the Kumara Borough Council that
the old railway time-table between Hokitika and Greymouth be reinstated. In reply I have to inform you that the time-table has already been published and will have effect forgone month. A careful watch will be kept on the results of the working of the altered time-table, and the whole will be revised at the expiry of that time. — J. A. Millar." The following wire "was received by the Mayor last night :—: — H. L. Michel, Esq., Mayor of Hokitika : — Your telegram received conveying protest of Hokitika Borough Council relative to alterations in Grey-mouth-Hokitika train service, in> reply to which I have to say that the timetable for September is printed and in operation and I regret no alteration can be made this month. — J. A. Millar.
