SENDING THREATENING LETTERS.
AUCKLAND, Sept. 3.— At the Police Court Arnold Hare, a young man. was charged with having sent E. Clf»rk letters containing threats with intent to extort money. A letter had been ruceived by Clark demanding /'SO for not disclosing matters concerning a certain firm. The police were informed and the accused arrested. He was re= manded on bail with two sureties of £50 each.
